Gordon-Nash Library News

Goodness, it is mid-September already—with a hint of frost in the air.

It is so pleasing to see more people coming to Donna Sullivan’s great Yoga class. There is still room to join and it is so good for you to relax this way. There is a class every Thursday from 10:30 and they only cost $13.00 or $50.00 for five.

Zentangle is back with Bette Abdu. Bette is offering classes every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 to 7:30. You do not need to be an artist to learn how to draw a Zentangle. You will learn how to create beautiful images using structured patterns with pen on paper. Learn the basic technique in one workshop and enjoy the calming benefits every time you create one of these 31/2 square artistic gems. Find that zone of relaxed focus with a totally portable art form. You do not have to be an artist, in fact non-artist are encouraged to start this practice. The workshop costs $35.00 with a $10.00 material fee.

Children’s Story Time is growing! We have two story times now, both on Thursday. The first session is from 10:45 to 11:45 and the second from 12:45 to 1:45. Come here Christine read stories and then create a small masterpiece craft item.

If you have a craft or skill that you would like to teach at the Gordon-Nash Library please contact us. We have space available and welcome the community to come and share their knowledge with others.
