Start your day off with a calm mind and rejuvenated body!

This one hour yoga class is good for those who want to stretch and tone their bodies while building inner peace and strength. The session consists of seated warm-ups with focus on the breath to help center the body, standing and balancing postures to improve muscle and bone strength, and seated and supine stretches and twists that encourage the body to let go of toxins. The session finishes with a guided relaxation posture.

Donna Sullivan teaches a gentle/moderate style of yoga that is suitable for most adults and experience levels. Her classes are designed to help you calm your mind by connecting with your body through yogic breathing techniques and gentle flowing yoga postures. “After three years of taking yoga classes and seeing the positive affect it had on my mind and body; I decided to take my practice deeper and become a teacher so I could share my love of yoga with others.”

 Modifications are given to postures so you can personalize your practice based on your level of experience. Good for all levels, beginners are welcome, bring a yoga mat and small blanket.

For the Fallen

  by Laurence Binyon
With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
England mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.

Solemn the drums thrill: Death august and royal
Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres.
There is a music in the midst of desolation
And a glory that shines upon our tears.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncountered:
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

They mingle not with their laughing comrades again;
They sit no more at familiar tables at home;
They have no lot in our labour of the day-time;
They sleep beyond England's foam.

But where our desires are and our hopes profound,
Felt as a well-spring that is hidden from sight,
To the innermost heart of their own land they are known
As the stars are known to the Night;

As the stars that shall be bright when we are dust,
Moving in marches upon the heavenly plain;
As the stars are starry in the time of our darkness,
To the end, to the end they remain.

New Hampton Community Online Bulletin Board

It has come to our attention that the New Hampton Community has no central place to post news of events. We do have the e-blast that comes from the town offices--which is greatly appreciated. This new posting area: http://wp.me/p3yxNY-8 will allow all of our town groups to have a place to post items about their groups and especially events and it will be available to be seen all month long. Just send your online ready events to: gordonnash@metrocast.net I can't format them for you or get pictures for you. Just have them ready to go and I will happily paste them in for you! It would be nice to have an outdoor bulletin board too!

Movies at the Nash Proudly Presents:
Life of Pi

May 22nd at 6:00 p.m.

One boy, one boat, one tiger . . . After the tragic sinking of a cargo ship, a solitary lifeboat remains bobbing on the wild, blue Pacific. The only survivors from the wreck are a sixteen year-old boy named Pi, a hyena, a zebra (with a broken leg), a female orangutan – and a 450-pound Royal Bengal tiger. The scene is set for one of the most extraordinary movie in recent years.
