April 24, 2014, Thursday, 7:00PM Gordon-Nash Library -A Walk Back in Time: The Secrets of Cellar Holes
Northern New England is full of reminders of past lives: stone walls, old foundations, and a century-old lilac struggling to survive as the forest reclaims a dooryard. What forces shaped settlement, and later, abandonment of these places? Adair Mulligan explores the rich story to be discovered in what remains behind. Sponsored by the New Hampshire Humanities Council

Library News

The Gordon-Nash Library News

I see sunshine out there as I write this letter to our community.
Could this be the Spring we have been waiting for?
I hope so!
In that mode we are doing our Spring Clearing with a Book and Video Sale!
$2.00 a bag—wear it and go!  Our Book Nook is open during normal business hours and ongoing through the entire month of April.
We are still looking for people interested in teaching a craft or skill at the library. You can make a little money doing this too!
Story Time is ongoing, and our themes this month are Mud Season, Bunnies, Exploring Colors, and Earth Day.
Yoga is ongoing each Tuesday and Thursday—we have a nice group and this is low-impact calming yoga for all levels.
The New Hampton Historic Society is presenting “ A Walk Back in Time: Secrets of Cellar Holes on April 24th at 7:00 p.m.

On a personal note, I am still recovering from total knee replacement--which has been quite an experience I can tell you. I can't wait until the healing is over and this starts to feel more normal. Meanwhile, certain things lapsed, like this blog. I'm that much better that I'm posting here now.
That's progress!
